you can’t go to, think of, or be in aruba without singing the beach boys’ aruba, jamaica, oooo i wanna take ya…

this weekend, tulyfoto and fam traveled to aruba to shoot soomin + steve’s destination wedding at the hyatt regency aruba resort & casino.

the air was thick with humidity and love. the ceremony and reception took place on palm beach. lemme tell ya… it’s nice to work without shoes. just the soft white aruban sand between your toes.

props are like alcohol… they facilitate random acts of silliness courage; they bring out characteristics without having to pull teeth.

prior to jina + han’s wedding ceremony in durham, we shot portraits at the renaissance hotel in raleigh. with dum dums. enjoy.

a few days ago i was invited by a friend of mine to take shots of his newest toy creation, the cupcake vampire. the design is based on the chinese vampires you’d see in old kung fu movies called jiang shi. the little guy had such intricate details and my favorite part of the set was his tomb that even had a hidden compartment that holds an LED light.
